English pie with nuts and caramel

Ingredients:
  • For the dough: flour - 1 1/4 cups
  • salt - 1/2 teaspoon
  • lard - 1/2 cup (cut into pieces)
  • ice water - 3-4Art.spoons
  • For filling: large eggs - 3 pieces
  • corn syrup - 2/3 cup
  • light brown sugar - 1/4 cup
  • melted unsalted butter - 1/4 cup
  • salt - 1/4 teaspoon
  • vanilla extract - 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • - 1/2 teaspoon
  • toffee pieces - 1 cup pecans
  • - 1 cup (chopped)

Make the dough.In a large bowl, mix together the flour and salt.Cut butter and lard, add to the flour.Add 1 tablespoon of water, kneading the mixture with a fork after each addition until mixture is moistened.On the working surface of the dough to form a flat disk, wrap in plastic bag and place in refrigerator for 30 minutes.On a lightly floured surface roll out using a rolling pin.Form dough circle diameter of 30 cm and a thickness of 3 mm.Put the dough in the baking pan, trim the edges, creating a canopy height of the edges of 1.3 cm.
